Project Idareus is an experiment, and right now you are part of the experiment.

This is an early version. Some things are unfinished. Some things may be confusing. Something may break completely.

That's useful.

I'm not looking for you to tell me you like it. I'm looking for you to show me where I'm wrong.

Don't ask me how to use it unless you're completely stuck.

Pretend someone sent you the link and I wasn't available.

I need to know whether the site itself can explain what Project Idareus is, why it exists, and what you're supposed to do.

If you get confused, that's data. Remember where it happened.

Start Here

Go to the Project Idareus homepage.

Don't create an account immediately.

Look around first. Read as much—or as little—as you naturally would if someone had simply sent you the site. Explore anything that catches your attention.

Ask yourself: What do I think Project Idareus is?

Don't worry about getting the answer “right.” I want your answer.

Then Try to Do Something

When you're ready, create an account. From that point forward, explore Idareus however you naturally want to.

Before you're finished, please try each of these:

  • Develop an idea. It can be serious, ridiculous, half-formed, or something you've thought about for years. If you genuinely don't have an idea, that's important too—see what happens.
  • Explore an existing Idea. Can you understand what someone is proposing and what happens next?
  • Explore a Project or Opportunity. Can you figure out what the project needs and how you might participate?
  • Tell Idareus something you can do. Skill, knowledge, equipment, time, resources—whatever feels natural.
  • Make at least one commitment or take one available action if the system gives you an opportunity that makes sense.

Don't try to use it correctly. Use it naturally. That's what I'm testing.

While You're Using It

Pay attention whenever you think:

“What does this mean?”
“What am I supposed to do now?”
“Why did it do that?”
“I expected this to…”
“I wish I could…”
“This is cool.”
“This is pointless.”

Those moments are more valuable to me than whether every button works.
